The run of
Emma Raducanu is over at BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells with
Iga Swiatek proving too good for the former US Open champion who has a lot of positives to take from this week despite defeat.
Swiatek hit 22 winners and four out of 10 break points to win 6-3, 6-1 and reach the Quarter-Finals with Sorana Cirstea awaiting who toppled Caroline Garcia.
It was small mistakes in the first set which allowed the World No.1 to take control as a double fault at 0-30 down allowed Swiatek to break and go 4-2 up before holding to love before soon closing out the set.
Swiatek then took full control breaking in the third and then twice more for a win in just under an hour and a half.
