Andy Murray shared his thoughts about Raducanu's injury woes explaining that a strict fitness regime should help.
Emma Raducanu dealt with many injuries this year that prevented her from playing a lot of events and more importantly, playing consistent tennis. She only posted a 17-19 record this year which is far away from her 25-9 record she posted last year.
Raducanu never fully regained her health as she dealt with several smaller injuries pretty much all year long and it's a direct consequence of her body not being able to handle the long and difficult tennis season. This was her first full season and it showed.
Andy Murray has experience with such issues and he shared his thoughts when asked about it in Paris:
"I think with any coaching relationship, whether it's strength and conditioning or tennis, it's kind of making sure that you're spending enough time with that person to be able to really make a difference. I think sometimes unless you really dedicate the time to it is kind of difficult to make a difference. So if they get to spend enough time together, I'm sure that that would be helpful for her."
He continued:
"If it's not Jez, then a strength and conditioning coach full time I'm sure would be helpful. Trying
to improve the physical side and avoid the niggles and injuries, and
the best way to do that is to get stronger and have someone around you
more consistently."
