Ahora: Aryna Sabalenka entrenando en Miami, horas después del fallecimiento de su pareja, Konstantin Kolstov
A day removed from the tragic passing of her boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov who passed away at the age of 42, Aryna Sabalenka is seemingly looking to find solace in the tennis court instead of withdrawing from the Miami Open. She was spotted back on the tennis court on Tuesday afternoon.
Sabalenka would've been expected to withdraw from the Miami Open after such a serious personal incident. But instead was confirmed this afternoon on Tennis Channel to be still planning to play the Miami Open. Further details were confirmed with Koltsov according to the Miami-Dade Police Department committing suicide supposedly making it even more tragic after it was seen as a blood clot from initial reports.
But as some noted on social media, Sabalenka who also lost her father when he was only 43 in 2019 was back on the tennis court within a week and seems to deal with these types of situations in this way instead of grieving and not playing. She will not take part in any media though over the next week or so with that being a leading caveat to her continuing to play Miami.
