Emma Raducanu has shared positive signs ahead of her return to the sport after missing a majority of the 2023 season due to injury.

The 2021 US Open champion has had a difficult time on the WTA Tour over the last two years, with injuries and multiple coaching changes hindering her success. She last competed at the Stuttgart Open in April where she lost to Jelena Ostapenko in the first round.

Shortly afterward, Raducanu announced that she was taking a break from the sport to undergo surgery on her wrists and ankle. Since then, she has been recovering and recently returned to training.

Raducanu agrees that she is "back and better than ever"

On Tuesday, October 18, the 20-year-old shared some videos of her training, including working out her legs and arms with various different exercises. She captioned the post:

"rehab but make it [circus tent emoji], [juggler emoji]", with the light tunes of Richard Carter's Le Monde accompanying the post.

Moreover, Raducanu strongly hinted at her optimism regarding her comeback when one fan commented that the player was "back & better than eva [ever]."

"that's for sure," the Brit replied.

Meanwhile, several other fans reacted positively to the clip.

"This comes out of passion and dedication at the top level. I feel she is better than earlier. I can feel that sniff , hungry for many things and sure you're gonna reach those. Come on Emma let's go champ," wrote one.

"Keep going Emma, you will be there, you have the tennis talent, you already a champion, all the very best, enjoy," added another.

"I love your determination! You are focused! You are so hungry to get back on court. But it seems you have a plan, as always," commented a third.

Raducanu has previously spoken about her time away and how she is looking forward to coming back in 2024.

"Next season I'll be back. This season all the Slams were finished so it was difficult to watch them go by but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery," she told BBC Sports.
