Former tour best friends, Paula Badosa and Marta Kostyuk were previously pictured in 2022 in a wholesome exchanged at the net at the Australian Open, but that has since fallen apart after Madrid last year.
This was on full display as they shared a frosty handshake at the net after Badosa took down Kostyuk on Sunday afternoon to reach the fourth round.
Previously playing doubles together too, their friendship broke down after Badosa decided to play with Aryna Sabalenka in doubles who have since become the big friendship on the WTA Tour.
Of course with the ongoing tensions between Russia-Ukraine and also Belarus being part of that, Kostyuk did not take too kindly to it.
