Danielle Collins once again was involved with a heckler trying to disrupt her match against
Aryna Sabalenka on Monday night as she lost her cool after a rally in her defeat at the
Madrid Open.
Collins had every right to as well as she was on the verge of breaking Sabalenka in the seventh game of the second set after winning the first. The Belarusian served wide and Collins hit a back hand fiercely. This put Sabalenka back up but Collins in advancing to take it early speared it into the net. Apparently though this was not helped by a spectator shouting during the rally as she looked towards the stands in fury. "What was that," she screamed at the heckler in question.
In the end, Collins saw her unbeaten streak come to an end as she was defeated 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 to set up a meeting with Mirra Andreeva in the Quarter-Finals of the Madrid Open.
