Kazakhstan’s tennis star Elena Rybakina was ecstatic to
receive a bouquet from a fan in Dubai. The 24-year-old recently took part in the Dubai Duty-Free
Championship where her journey came to an end as she withdrew before the start of the quarterfinal.
However, despite the sad end to her competition, before
that, Rybakina was seen visibly ecstatic in a video that appeared on social media
platform X—previously known as Twitter — as a fan presented her with a bouquet.
The recent result will going to be a setback for
the current world number four who was going through a period of impressive form
before withdrawing from the event in Dubai.
The Moscow-born started the 2024 season slowly as she lost
in the second round of the Australian Open to Anna Blinkova with a score of 6-4,
4-6, 7-6. She made a grand comeback and lifted the Abu Dhabi Open after
beating Daria Kasatkina in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-4.
In the recently concluded Qatar Open, the 2022 Wimbledon
champion was once again impressive
throughout and eventually lost in the final to the current world number one
Poland’s Iga Swiatek in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-2.
