Canada’s tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has remained in the news, more for her off-the-court activities than on-court achievements.
The 30-year-old has once again grabbed the headlines as she led her family to win in a famous TV show Family Feud Canada where the prize money was more than $11,500.
Bouchard shared the experience on her social media platform Instagram with a caption: "WE WON!!! What a cool life experience. Go Team Bouchard @familyfeudcanada."
The Montreal-born recently became the first high-profile player who announce that she would play both tennis and pickleball.
Bouchard broke onto the scene in 2014 when she played in the final and two semifinals out of the four Grand Slams. However, since then, she has only managed to play in the quarterfinal or beyond of a major tournament just once.
The last time Bouchard played in the main draw of a Grand Slam was in 2020 where she was defeated in the third round to the current world number one Poland’s Iga Swiatek in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-2.
Bouchard’s best outing in a major tournament came in the final at Wimbledon in 2014 where she lost to the Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-0.
