Much has been said about whether
Monica Seles or Steffi Graf was the better player and
Chris Evert offered her thoughts on it.
A legendary player herself, Evert fully understands what it takes to be great and can certainly appreciate it far more than the average tennis fan. She chimed in on a debate between tennis fans talking about whether Graf or Seles was better and she said.
One fan wrote:
"Two things can be true at once. Steffi can be a GOAT and have dominated, while at the same time she could have been aided by Monica's absence. It's not an either/or. (It should also be noted that the Golden Slam happened in 1988 and is irrelevant to Seles being stabbed.)"
Evert seemed to agree with the fan adding:
"Well said… both are true"
