Women's Tennis Draw released for 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games: Barty to face Sorribes Tormo, Osaka set for Zheng Saisai opener

The draw has been released for the Women's Tennis Singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games with a field headlined by Naomi Osaka and Ashleigh Barty set to fight for medals from Saturday 24 July.
Osaka who returns to action for the first time since her withdrawal from the French Open will anchor home hopes and will face Saisai Zheng in her first round with potentially Maria Camila Osario Serrano, one of the rising stars this year on the WTA tour or Viktorija Golubic awaiting in the second round.
On the opposite end of the draw, Barty faces Sara Sorribes Tormo, part of a strong Spanish contingent including Garbine Muguruza, Paula Badosa and Carla Suarez-Navarro.
Mugurza herself will face Veronika Kudermetova. While if Barty wins through, it will be either Fiona Ferro or Anastasija Sevastova.
Other ties to watch include Iga Swiatek facing Mona Barthel with the potential for the aforementioned Badosa to face the former Roland Garros champion in the second round.
Aryna Sabalenka, third seed will face Magda Linette, while Suarez Navarro faces Ons Jabeur, with the victor of that facing Karolina Pliskova or Alize Cornet.
Maria Sakkari faces Anett Kontaveit, while in seemingly her final tournament with no entry in for the US Open swing, Kiki Bertens faces Marketa Vondrousova.
