The Toray Pan Pacific Open will run from September 25-October 1, 2023 in the city of Tokyo, Japan, with WTA stars vying for the illustrious hard court title.
A WTA 500 event, the Pan Pacific Open will feature a 32-player field and a 16-team doubles draw. After taking a hiatus from 2019 due to the pandemic, the event returned last year, with Liudmila Samsonova taking home the title.
The Russian will be competing in an attempt to defend her title, but she'll face some difficult adversaries. Polish star Iga Swiatek is scheduled to participate, alongside 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, who lifted the year-ending WTA Finals title last year.
