WTA Prize Money Leaders Update: Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek still lead, Rybakina adds to total as Bencic into top 10
WTA
The WTA Prize Money Leaders have been updated for the final time before the WTA Finals concludes the season this week with the top eight mainly unchanged.
Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek are among those to lead the way and have done for most of the season by some considerable distance markably by winning Grand Slams and unlike the main WTA Rankings where they have had points deducted due to missing mandatory events, the same cannot be said for the Prize Money Leaders.
Coco Gauff and Amanda Anisimova, the victor of the French Open and for the latter reaching two Grand Slam finals certainly proves to be the route as they sit third and fourth. Jasmine Paolini and Mirra Andreeva are next alongside Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys. They are mainly unchanged.
Then we go onto the end of the top 10 where we find a certain Elena Rybakina and also Belinda Bencic. Rybakina remains in ninth but after another week where she reached a semi-final in Tokyo, she seals $59,100 onto her total to sit on $3,221,632 albeit still way behind Madison Keys so she won't be moving upwards again this season.
While Belinda Bencic is in 10th and added $164,000 to her total by winning the tournament this past week, she went from 12th to 10th as a results and now sits on $2,602,954. Ekaterina Alexandrova went down one as a result but she still managed to add $27,940 to sit just behind Naomi Osaka and Bencic.
Linda Noskova also rises up to 15th from 17th. She added $101,000 to her total and Karolina Muchova is next up in adding money as she now sits in 18th having added $27,940. Also money added for Diana Shnaider, Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez inside the top 30.
Other big winners just outside include Sofia Kenin who is in 31st and added $64,020 for reaching the semi-finals in Tokyo. While Anna Kalinskaya also had a good week injury aside and sits in 32nd having added $27,940 to her total. Victoria Mboko also who sits in 37th is now on $1,408,590 and added $32,860 this week.
