Another week on the WTA calendar is in the books and we have new rankings that feature a rising Aryna Sabalenka who sits now at No. 4.

It was a very fruitful week for Sabalenka at the Madrid Open. She not only overcame her mental block on clay but also won a title after a stellar performance against Barty in the final. That win saw her jump up in the rankings as she is now ranked number 4 in the world. Ashleigh Barty still remained number one in front of Osaka and Halep.

Petra Kvitova rejoined the top 10 after a solid Madrid week with Kiki Bertens the big loser dropping 7 spots to number 17. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova had a tremendous Madrid Open resulting in her jumping 11 spots to number 30. Spaniard Badosa enjoyed a great week at home as well.

She reached the semifinal which netter her a lot of points propelling her to number 42 after jumping 20 spots. Sloane Stephens continued her slide dropping to number 65. When it comes to the WTA Race, Barty is still leading with Osaka and Sabalenka closely behind. Muguruza, Brady, Mertens, Kudermetova and Muchova complete the top 8.
