The
WTA 500
Internationaux de Strasbourg completed three of its quarterfinal matches, with
victories from
Danielle Collins (No. 12) and
Madison Keys (No. 16), raising the
prospect of an all-American final. One quarterfinal match remains, as the top
seed
Marketa Vondrousova (No. 6) is set to face
Anhelina Kalinina (No. 56).
Day
Six began with a decisive win for

Haddad Maia (No. 14), ending 6-3, 6-0. The Brazilian suffered her worst defeat
in over a year, just before defending her semifinal points at the French Open.
Impressive
Performance by the Americans
Danielle
Collins and Madison Keys both delivered commanding performances, showcasing
their top form and setting up a potential all-American final.
‘Danimal’
easily defeated local player Clara Burel 6-1, 6-3 in just 1 hour and 3 minutes,
marking her 21st win in her last 23 matches. This was Collins’ second
consecutive straightforward victory, having dispatched
Katerina Siniakova (No.
34) 6-1, 6-2 in the first round.
Collins
maintained a 67% first serve success rate, winning 75% of those points,
demonstrating consistent play over the past few months. She was also impressive
on return, winning 55% of return points, and appeared comfortable on slow
courts.
