Dayana Yastremska will play at BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells as a wildcard after being awarded one due to Naomi Osaka moving up to direct entry to the main draw.
Camila Giorgi withdrew from the tournament and as the next alternate on the list, Osaka takes her place.
The Ukrainian has shown great courage since the Russian invasion travelling through Romania alongside her sister after being woken up by bombs.
This was furthered with Yastremska making it to France to play Open 6éme Sens Metropole de Lyon and going all the way to the final losing out to Shuai Zhang but will now head to California.
