Elena Rybakina was in top form despite being on the other end of a thrashing against her rival at the
Brisbane International as the Kazakh ace sealed the title.
Rybakina was in truly devastating form as she ended Sabalenka's 15 match winning streak Down Under an sealed a 6-0, 6-3 win to claim a sixth career title. She blamed her team sarcastically past match for doing a bad job against Rybakina and then thanked her opponent for letting her win a few points also jokingly.
"Couple of words to my team. You did a bad job today. Wow. 6-0, 6-3. That's all your fault guys," she said laughing.
"Well, honestly I don't know where to start. First of all, Elena wow. Thank you for those 3 games at least. We made it look like a fight. Great job, congrats to you and your team on an amazing week. And see you in Melbourne," she added.
To which Rybakina responded congratulating her opponent and also her team despite Sabalenka's words on them and also showing the love also for opponent. "Congrats to your team. They are doing a good job, no matter what Aryna says you are doing a really good job," she said.
"Despite the score, it's always tough to play against you. We always push each other and I think that's great. We improve this way, so hopefully we continue," she added.
