In 2021, the Miami Open will offer a star-studded entry list once again as the brightest stars of the ATP Tour will compete in Miami from March 24th - April 4th.
The long history of the Miami Open crowned a lot of champions but in 2021 we won't see anyone defend the title. In 2020, the Miami Open was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and the last champion from 2019, Roger Federer won't take part in this year's tournament.
This will be a great chance for Novak Djokovic, who will be the highest-seeded player to add his 7th title in Miami. The Serbian triumphed in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. We will see one more former champion in Miami as John Isner, who triumphed in 2018, is also in the strong field of players. Andy Murray, who has 2 titles from Miami also received a wild-card and can compete for his third.
However, it won't be an easy task for anyone to lift the trophy this year. Everyone wants to shine bright we will see strong competition from the youngsters such as Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Andrey Rublev.
Also, Matteo Berrettini, Roberto Bautista Agut, and David Goffin will try to show their strengths and fight for a handful of points for the ATP Rankings and a cut of more than 4 million dollars in prize money.
