2021 US Open Day 1 ATP & WTA Schedule of Play with Osaka, Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Halep

The US Open kicks off on Monday, August 30th with a packed day one schedule including defending champion Naomi Osaka as well as Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Simona Halep.

The final grand slam of the season is finally upon us with the US Open kicking off tomorrow with its day one. The first day of the event will start with a banger schedule including numerous great matches such as Stefanos Tsitsipas against Andy Murray. Play will commence at 17:00 CET and we will start with Simona Halep taking on Camila Giorgi. A sensational match that will deliver fireworks early.

After that, we will see Muguruza take on Vekic as well as native Collins playing Carla Suarez Navarro in possibly her final match ever. The Spaniard will retire after this event. Angelique Kerber will face Yastremska while Gauff will play Linette. Svitolian will play Marino, Azarenka will take on Martincova. The WTA programme will finish with Sabalenka taking on Stojanovic as well as Osaka who will play Bouzkova.

On the men's side of the draw play will also start at 17:00 CET with several matches but all the focus will be played on Andy Murray taking on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the premier match of the 1st round. Crowds will gather to see Isner take on Nakashima as well for Rublev against Karlovic. The Croatian giant will retire after the US Open so this could be his final match.

A fascinating match will be played between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Casper Ruud while at the same time we will be able to see Cameron Norrie take on Carlos Alcaraz. Another All-American clash will be between Frances Tiafoe and Christopher Eubanks with a smashing match to follow between Nick Kyrgios and Roberto Bautista Agut. The ATP programme will close out with Daniil Medvedev taking on Richard Gasquet.
