The 2022 Rakuten Japan Open is an ATP 500 event running from October 3rd till October 9th with Ruud and Norrie as the top seeds.
Tennis returns to Japan after the pandemic and it will be a very interesting event with some very good tennis players in attendance. The top two players are Ruud and Norrie and both of them have played in Seoul a week before so it will be a short trip.
Besides them, we will see Fritz, Tiafoe, Kyrgios, de Minaur and many more players fighting for the hefty prize money. The winning player at the event will get $365,275 with the losing player in the final getting $182,825. Semi-finalists will get with the lower rounds giving fewer prize money and points.
