The draw has been confirmed for the 2024 Rome Open which is set to begin on May 8 and the finals will take place on the weekend of May 18. Novak Djokovic is the top seed who will take to the court at the Foro Italico.
Djokovic has won five times in Rome and has had great success in Italy over the years. As has Rafael Nadal who will have his big farewell to a court he loves in the latest notch on his tour. He has won 10 times in Rome. Daniil Medvedev despite supposedly hating clay won last year and will be the second seed.
It is a tournament though that has been hit majorly by injuries. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in particular have withdrawn over the last week and are doubts for Roland Garros at this time. Medvedev too isn't in the best shape either and will face Borna Coric or Jack Draper in the second round. Djokovic could meet Roman Safiullin.
While Nadal takes on a qualifier then could take on Hubert Hurkacz. Andrey Rublev who won last week in Madrid meets Marcos Giron or Emil Ruusuvuori. Alexander Zverev who is now third seed could face Aleksandar Vukic in the second round. Casper Ruud could be set for a meeting with Miomir Kecmanovic. Stefanos Tsitsipas who has had a similar degree of success to Ruud as of late is set to face either Jan-Lennard Struff or Pedro Cachin.
