Carlos Alcaraz has been spotted watching his younger brother, Jaime Alcaraz, playing a tennis match at the Real Murcia Tennis Club as he enjoys his off-season.
The world number one has three brothers. The oldest, Alvaro, regularly travels with Alcaraz around the world to the biggest tennis events. He also has two younger brothers, Sergio and Jaime, who is the youngest.
Following in the footsteps of his older sibling, Jaime is becoming a very talented tennis player. He recently finished as the runner-up in the Rafa Nadal Tour’s Master Mallorca tournament. This was followed by an appearance on the Challenger Tour. He had also earlier in the year competed in the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, similar to Alcaraz.
The six-time Grand Slam champion has been regularly spotted watching his younger brother play in events. Despite this, he has distanced himself from him in the media, not wanting to heap the pressure on what is already a highly touted player, which he previously commented on in the past. “There are a lot of people around, a lot of videos and accounts from social media that are saying he’s going to be similar to his brother," Alcaraz stated in an interview last year. "And I don’t really like that you know in that way. I just want all the people or all the social media users to just leave him alone because he plays well but it’s not the best yet. For me, I’m a little bit worried for the people who are around him during the tournament that they’re gonna go to watch him because he’s my brother and then he’ll probably put pressure on himself."

While many players are flying across the world going on holiday and relaxing, Alcaraz still finds himself close to a tennis court. He last competed in the ATP Finals where he fended off the competition to reach another big final. The 22-year-old once again faced Jannik Sinner, who in the indoor hardcourt setting was dominant.
He had envisioned competing in the Davis Cup Finals for his beloved Spain but was forced to pull out after his right hamstring showed signs of swelling. He opted to not risk it and watched the events from his home. Spain made a heroic run all the way to the final where they were defeated by Italy, who completed a historic three-peat.
He will travel to the states where he will compete in two lucrative exhibitions. The first one comes at A Racquet at the Rock in Newark, New Jersey. He will face Frances Tiafoe on 7th December before heading off to Florida to compete in the Miami Invitational on 8th December against Joao Fonseca. What will follow is a very intense training block lasting three and a half weeks. It will culminate in the first week of January, when Alcaraz will head to the other side of the world to start his 2026 season. He will feature in another exhibition in South Korea alongside Jannik Sinner. He will then be ready for the Australian Open, the only Grand Slam he has not lifted.
