Alexander Zverev became the player with the most victories in 2024 after winning the title at the Paris Masters. The German defeated local player Ugo Humbert in the final and reached 67 wins in the season, one more than Jannik Sinner, although he needed to compete in several more tournaments than the world No. 1.
‘Sascha’ not only secured his 7th Masters 1000 title (his second of the year), but he also surpassed Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Ranking just before the ATP Finals, returning to world No. 2, his best historical ranking.

Zverev Secures 7th Masters Title

In a final that was expected to be closely contested, the German showcased his prowess in major tournaments. Zverev delivered a commanding performance, defeating Humbert 6-2, 6-2 in front of his home crowd, who were hoping for the first French champion since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2008.
Zverev claims his second title of the season and improves his record to 67-20, making him the leader in victories ahead of the ATP Finals. He leaves world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in second place with 66 wins, noting that the Italian has only 6 losses (3 of them against Alcaraz) and has secured 7 titles, including two Grand Slam victories at the Australian Open and US Open.
Zverev previously won the title at the Rome Open by defeating Nicolas Jarry in the final and then fell in the finals of Roland Garros (against Carlos Alcaraz) and the Hamburg Open (against Arthur Fils). In terms of victories in Masters 1000 tournaments, Zverev tied with Sinner with a total of 28 wins (titles in Miami, Cincinnati, and Shanghai).
The German still has the chance to increase his record at the ATP Finals in Turin in two weeks, where Sinner will also be present. Later, the Italian will have another opportunity to add wins as part of Team Italy in the Davis Cup, unlike Zverev, who was not announced as part of the German team.
