There was considerable drama during the round of 16 clash between Mikael Ymer and Arthur Fils at the 2023 Lyon Open, which resulted in Ymer losing the match via disqualification.
Believing a ball to be out, Ymer asked the umpire to check the mark as the ball was called in. However, the umpire refused to do so, which appeared to agitate the Swedish star. His frustrations soon came to a boil as Fils broke his serve to grab a 6-5 lead.

It was at this point that Ymer exploded, smashing his racket multiple times against the umpire's chair. This led to him being disqualified, with Ymer walking over to apologize to Fils and share an embrace before walking off the court.
American No.1 Taylor Fritz chimed in on the incident, attributing the incident to a crazy bounce.

"Not justifying the reaction at all but the amount of people that think a bad bounce = line hit is insane… crazy bounces happen all over the court and especially near lines," wrote Fritz on Twitter.
