Andrey Rublev on GOAT race: 'It is hard to pick, all three are very close'

Andrey Rublev had a great week in Monte Carlo, reaching his first Masters 1000 final, beating Rafael Nadal for the first time and passing Roger Federer on the ATP ranking list.

The Russian has been among the players to beat this year alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic, standing second in the ATP Race after Monte Carlo and hoping for more next week in Barcelona. In a recent interview, Andrey spoke about the GOAT race between Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Like many others, the Russian can't make a call, as they are too close to each other.

"It isn't easy to make a call because they are the three most outstanding players in history. I think Rafa is the one with the best chances at the moment because he has already reached Federer's 20 Majors and will be a big favorite again at Roland Garros.

Federer is coming off an injury and hasn't played many matches. He needs to regain his rhythm and form, get ready for the grass and try to win Wimbledon. And there is world no. 1 Djokovic, who won another Australian Open title. It is difficult to pick," Andrey Rublev said.
