After the 8-time Wimbledon champion, Roger Federer underwent surgery, he planned a come back to the ATP Tour during the grass-court part of the season. However, the whole ATP Tour was suspended until 13th July 2020 and also the 2020 Wimbledon was cancelled.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion wanted to add his 21st trophy in All England Club this year. However, his plans have to be postponed for now. The 38-years-old Swiss commented on this occasion just shortly on Twitter saying: "Devastated".
Also the 2018 Wimbledon finalist, Kevin Anderson reacted to the sad news. In 2018, Anderson lost to Djokovic in 3 sets as he recorded his best Grand Slam result. On Twitter, he wrote: "I’ve always had so many great memories at Wimbledon. The grass season will definitely be missed but the most important thing right now for us to focus on is that we’re all staying healthy and safe at home."
Also, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Tennys Sandgren reacted to this message. The young Canadian was disappointed and advised everybody to stay at home. On the other hand, the Sandgren wished it was just a bad joke.
