The Prize Money Leaders have been updated for the final time this year with Carlos Alcaraz only just missing out on making history in topping the standings ahead of Jannik Sinner.
According to the official list published by the ATP which concluded this week on December 22, 2025, Alcaraz had his end of season bonuses added and he finishes at the top financially in what was one of the most lucrative seasons in tennis history. A figure that places him just shy of the ridiculous season by Novak Djokovic in 2015.

Alcaraz marginally misses out on record

He is only $300,000 shy of the absolute best ever set in 2015 so while that ten year record still stands of $21.6million, it shows the special season that Alcaraz had. One that is now shrouded in mystery at the end of it with Juan Carlos Ferrero, his long-time coach disposed of with all sorts of rumours and conjecture surrounding his contract and involvement with his father.
But a season like this as Garbine Muguruza opined herself made it even more puzzling that he can make such a choice but it showed him to be the imperious best player in the sport by some distance. Jannik Sinner though perhaps was even more impressive.

Sinner finishes second despite doping ban

Jannik Sinner finished second on the list despite spending nearly half the season off the tour due to his doping ban for testing positive for the substance Clostebol and he took a retrospective ban. He was unable to take part in all of the Masters 1000 events in the early part of the season due to the ban.
This mean that he had a significant cut to his total in the end sitting at $19.1m but this was still well ahead of those who played the whole season and this not only reflects in this but also the current ranking with Alcaraz and Sinner having a gap to Alexander Zverev which famously sees the German have the same gap to players in their 1,000's compared to the top two he is that far away.
Zverev ($7.4m) clings to third place while Alex de Minaur has had a superbly solid season sat on $6.6m ahead of Lorenzo Musetti who has had an incredible year on tour despite not sealing a title in the end and sits on $6.3million.
Back to Sinner and this gap between the top two showed with the ban as he still remained World No.1 for a considerable amount of the season despite the top spot going begging for the start of the year and Zverev being unable to take advantage. Now going into the new year, the gap is bigger than ever.
Taylor Fritz is next ahead of Felix Auger-Aliassime and Ben Shelton who are in seventh and eighth. Tommy Paul is the next placed American showing the gulf between Fritz and Shelton in the top American battle with Paul down in 23rd.
Novak Djokovic still remains in the top 10 despite once again playing very little in 2025 and only really playing Grand Slams but his performances in such tournaments always keep him there or thereabouts in 9th showing that even just big events at $5.1million are enough.
Casper Ruud completes the top 10 with just under $4m while despite poor years, Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev sit just outside in 11th and 12th. Jack Draper is top Brit in 13th with just under $3.5m. He spent half the season not playing due to injury despite early season excellence with the Australian Open next up.
