The
ATP Rankings have been updated after the latest week of action that saw
Zizou Bergs win Eastbourne and Mallorca go the way of
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the week leading up to
Wimbledon.
We take a look at the rankings in their current form as well as what could occur when we head towards the main event which begins on Monday afternoon.
Jannik Sinner still leads the way going into
Wimbledon and despite him dropping a huge load of points already by default as defending champion, so has Carlos Alcaraz and it hasn't done much to either in halting them.
Zverev could finally look to benefit as he sit just under 1000 points behind Carlos Alcaraz when it was over 7,000 at one point. But even then such is men's tennis is a huge gap opening up from there so it went from being the top two to the rest to the top three to the rest.
Felix Auger-Aliassime sits on 4350 points behind Zverev's 7,190 as per the live rankings albeit Novak Djokovic too could feasibly drop out of the top 10 by the end of the tournament. He drops 790 like Taylor Fritz and Alexander Bublik and Casper Ruud who don't defend anything are the next beneficiaries.
Bergs and Davidovich Fokina the big winners
In terms of this week's changes, Learner Tien has jumped Jakub Mensik into 17th as he looks to head towards the top 15. Lorenzo Musetti doesn't play Wimbledon so the chance is there given he is only just under 100 points off him. So even winning a round or so can cement that position with Lehecka, Rublev and Ruud also in the 2,000 points ahead of him so Tien could be one to watch.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina finally achieved title success and he is up two spots to World No.23 ahead of Fils and Tommy Paul. ADF won Mallorca this past weekend.
Zizou Bergs during the eventual loss for team Belgium against Italy at the Davis Cup Finals.
Zizou Bergs though who beat Ugo Humbert is one of the big winners though. He goes up 11 spots to 37th albeit is not the Belgian Number One with Alexander Blockx ironically rising a place to stop that. They are neck and neck though in 36th and 37th.
While also rises for Juan Manuel Cerundolo (up three to 42nd), Ethan Quinn is also a big winner up 16 to 47th. While Nuno Borges also goes up five to 48th.
Fabian Marozsan is also up nine spots to 53rd. While Tallon Griekspoor has plummeted. He is down 19 to 58th. While further down, Vit Kopriva, Zachary Svajda and Jan-Lennard Struff are among those up nearly five spots each and ironically despite not playing for nearly a year, Holger Rune is up two to 77th.
