To begin, the first Quarter-Final will see the brilliant Alexander Zverev take on a resurgent Stan Wawrinka.
Zverev will aim for his first Grand Slam semi-final as he looks to make his big breakthrough in this event but he will go up against a player who has been there and done it in the three-time major champion.
His previous run to the last eight in 2008 saw the German win three five-setters at Roland Garros but he has won all 12 of his sets this time around at the Australian Open which is bound to fill him with confidence.
Wawrinka showed some of his best tennis though against Daniil Medvedev when he won through in a thriller against the Russian but even he has a brick wall when it comes to semi-finals.
He has not reached one since 2017 Roland Garros and has encountered knee surgery since then but the fact he is into this stage is a very encouraging sign for the Swiss ace.
Nadal and Thiem like the former and Nick Kyrgios is a game which always makes tennis fans look forward and they will once again duke it out on Wednesday for the first time since the 2018 US Open.
This saw the Spaniard triumph in a fifth set tie break. Despite that on clay, which many believe is Nadal's best surface, the Austrian has split the ties but in a Grand Slam, he will look to gain retribution.
With his form on the hard court shown at Indian Wells and the ATP Finals, Nadal won't be in for an easy time of it and he has shown a high level already in Melbourne meaning that we are definitely in for another Grand Slam epic.
