First of all, Simona Halep will take on Anett Kontaveit. The former has yet to drop a set in the tournament and will look to maintain that when she takes on the Estonian. She has a good record in matches against Kontaveit winning both without dropping a set.
Adding the experience factor into play, the Wimbledon champion could prove too much for Kontaveit as she moves onto potentially another Grand Slam win.
Then it is the turn of Garbine Muguruza. The former Grand Slam champion is back with a bang as she resumed her coaching relationship with Conchita Martinez and it has proved to be a match made in tennis heaven once again.
Muguruza has picked up some big scalps en route including the likes of Elina Svitolina and will take on another player in the Quarter-Finals with her fair share of big wins in Melbourne.
That is Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova who has reached the Quarter-Finals in the tournament for the second consecutive year and without getting past that stage, she may have that still in her periphery.
This is backed up with her reaching five Grand Slam Quarter-Finals but again she has yet to get past this point and she must now overcome a player she has only beaten once in five meetings which saw Muguruza retire. In that case, we could see the Spaniard's revival continue.
