Carlos Alcaraz is preparing for his
ATP Finals debut, with it being incredible to think that he hasn't played in the year end tournament even at this early stage of his career.
One player who will be on his side in Turin is a certain
Rafael Nadal who sent his well wishes to his compatriot ahead of the tournament starting this weekend.
This after Alcaraz stated admiration for Nadal during a clip posted by the Cincinnati Open where he said he wanted to be on the same level as Nadal.
"I want to be one of the best tennis players in history. To be on the same table as the legend, Rafa. Rafa was my hero when I was young when I started playing tennis. Towards his matches, finals, lifting the best trophies in the world, I felt, for me, Rafa was my hero growing up," Alcaraz said.
Nadal himself commented as he continues his attempted comeback from his injury lay off and said 'Big hug and good luck in Turin'. It is a team that has been mooted to play together before Nadal's career comes to a close with potential doubles at the Olympics next year seeing two generations colliding.
