Former World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz will face a busy schedule in September, as the Spaniard is set to compete at the US Open, Davis Cup Finals and the Laver Cup this year.
The Wimbledon champion will hope to regain the title he lost to Novak Djokovic at Flushing Meadows, after which he intends to lead the Spanish national team at the Davis Cup Finals group stage at home in Valencia. Alcaraz will then end the month with an appearance at the highly-competitive and entertaining Laver Cup.
The 20-year old debuted for Spain in the 2022 Davis Cup Qualifiers, but opted to skip the event in 2023. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Alcaraz will be hoping to win a notable title in front of his home crowd in Valencia and subsequently Malaga. The World No.2 currently holds a 2-1 singles record at the Davis Cup, and will look to improve upon that result during the group stage, which takes place across four cities from September 10-15, 2024. The Group Stage will feature 16 teams with the top two teams in each group advancing to the Final 8 in Malaga.
