The draw for the 2024 ATP Finals in Turin has been finalized, and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz could end up winning the entire event, according to Eurosport analyst Alex Corretja.
The former World No.1 will be heading to Turin after being one of the eight players to qualify for the elite event. Alcaraz has been drawn in the John Newcombe group along with Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev. The Ilie Nastase group will see Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur battle it out.

Corretja analyzes Alcaraz's chances on a different surface

Not known for his prowess on indoor hardcourts, Alcaraz suffered an early round of 16 loss at the Paris Masters last week. Although the Wimbledon champion did not compete at the 2022 edition of the ATP Finals due to an abdominal injury, he did make the semifinals at last year's events. Nonetheless, Corretja believes Alcaraz is in the best position to triumph at the year-ending event.
"Alcaraz is going to arrive in great form," said Corretja in an appearance on Eurosport. "He has won some tournaments on fast courts, notably defeating Sinner in the final, which boosts his confidence.
"In Paris-Bercy, the court was faster than he prefers; in the Masters, everything is wide open, and everyone arrives mentally exhausted. Carlos has learned from the past, he will be a bit fresher than last season. I trust in him, he's a player for big moments, and the Masters is one of them.”
