Novak Djokovic's preparation for the Australian Open has undergone a minor setback with the 21-time Grand Slam champion ending his practice early with Daniil Medvedev due to injury concerns.
In particular his right leg. He took to the court for the schedule 75 minutes but ended up leaving after 36 minutes losing a practice set 6-4.
Hindered last week by a hamstring issue in Adelaide which he went on to win, he played this down when asked about it and while this could just be precaution, it adds doubts to his campaign.
“Few times in the match (against Korda) I felt I was tightening up the muscle, but nothing that would worry me for my performance,” said Djokovic in Adelaide.
