Novak Djokovic spoke out against the
Wimbledon ban last year and he is hoping that this year won't see the ban repeated as he wants Russian and Belarussian players at the event.
Chatter around the tennis community suggests that there is a chance that the Wimbledonban returns this year. Last year the event imposed a ban on Russian and Belarussian players due to the war in Ukraine. It's unlikely to happen again due to the heavy fines the event had to pay but some say it might happen again.
Djokovic spoke out against it and he hopes it doesn't happen again:
“Of course, of course, absolutely. I hope
[Medvedev] and other Russian, Belarusian players will be able to play
everywhere."
He's not the only one as the majority of players would agree with him on that.
