Novak Djokovic saw off Japanese ace Tatsuma Ito in his latest match dropping only 11 points on serve as he hit 93 per cent of his first-serve points to move through to the third round at the 2020 Australian Open.
Djokovic took time after his victory though to speak of his love of Bali, a country he visited with his wife Jelena as part of their Novak Djokovic Foundation efforts and they went to Green School Ball, a wall-less bamboo campus focused on sustainability.
”It's one of the most special places in the world,” Djokovic said after his second-round win at the Australian Open on Wednesday.
“Honestly, I was blown away by how kind and genuine people are. The energy of that island, it's very special.”
The Serbian added again on his serve that it has been very pleasing for him to see his post season efforts pay off massively in his matches so far.
”My serve was working extremely well in the first round and second round. That's something I worked on in the off-season,” Djokovic said. “That’s one of the priorities of the training sessions, trying to get that advantage of winning a lot of easy points on the first serve. It’s been paying off so far in the ATP Cup and two matches here.”
