The 2020 US Open promises to be another great Grand Slam tournament and another opportunity for Novak Djokovic to close the gap in the titles race.

The 33-years-old Serbian will be chasing his 18th Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open. On the other hand, it will be a big opportunity for Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas or Daniil Medvedev to get their hands on the Grand Slam trophy for the first time in their careers.
With Nadal and Federer among the bigger names to sit out, Djokovic is being given the best odds to win his fourth US Open next week. Djokovic spoke about the absence of the other two members of the 'Big Three' when he said:
"It's bound to be weird that Federer and Nadal aren't here. They will be missed, no doubt, because they are legends of our sport. But apart from Federer, Nadal, and Wawrinka, all the best players are there. It would be disrespectful to all the other players to say that I have a better chance without Roger and Rafa. Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Daniil Medvedev - these guys are as strong as the three of us."
Djokovic has a lot of names to fear in his part of the draw. The seventh-seeded David Goffin can be the first major obstacle for the Serbian with Stefanos Tsitsipas or Alexander Zverev following up. 2020 Australian Open final and the possibility of the final matchup against Dominic Thiem will also remind Djokovic that the 2020 US Open is not going to be an easy trophy to get by any means.
