The Entry List for the 2025 Chile Open, also known as the Santiago Open, has been confirmed. The tournament will take place from February 24 to March 2, 2025. The event will feature top South American stars, led by Alejandro Tabilo, Francisco Cerundolo, and Nicolas Jarry.
The tournament is played on clay during the same week as the Acapulco Open and one week before the start of Indian Wells. The draw will include eight players from the top 40, headlined by local favourites Alejandro Tabilo and Nicolas Jarry.
Additionally, Argentinians Francisco Cerundolo, Sebastian Baez, and Tomas Martin Etcheverry are among the main contenders aiming to outperform the home players.
This event marks the conclusion of the Golden Swing in South America, following the Argentina Open and Rio Open. It was recently announced that Joao Fonseca declined a wildcard from the organisers to prepare early for Indian Wells.
The defending champion is Sebastian Baez, who defeated Alejandro Tabilo in the 2024 final with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 victory. Baez has had a shaky start to the year with consecutive losses at the ASB Classic and Australian Open, a fate shared by Tabilo in both tournaments (where he was the defending champion in Auckland).
Nicolas Jarry, the 2023 champion, will have an excellent opportunity to shine. After reaching the quarterfinals at the Brisbane International and delivering a respectable performance against eventual champion Jannik Sinner in the Australian Open, Jarry is well-poised for a strong showing.
Former Chile Open champions in the draw include Jarry himself, along with Fabio Fognini (2014), Thiago Seyboth Wild (2020), and Pedro Martinez (2021). Other notable names in the draw include Corentin Moutet, Mariano Navone, and Luciano Darderi.
