The
Lyon Open final will feature native player
Arthur Fils and
Francisco Cerundolo who has been playing some amazing tennis on clay in recent weeks.
The first finalist was Cerundolo as he defeated defending champion Cameron Norrie in two sets. Cerundolo actually smashed him comfortably, it was very impressive. He took the first set 6-3 completely outplaying Norrie from the baseline. The second set was even more impressive as he took down Norrie 6-0 in the second set booking the final.
The second finalist was decided by a very interesting match that went to three sets and finished with a tiebreak. The first set went to Fils 7-5 after a long battle with both players holding their serve really well. The second set went to Nakashima 6-4 with the final one going to a tiebreak and Fils taking it 7-5.
Just a really good showing from both Cerundolo and Fils. The Argentine will be favoured to win as he has been quite impressive in the past few weeks. Fils is the home player so he will have that boost to count on. The final is tomorrow.
