Jack Sock
and his wife revealed the gender of their upcoming child, who will be born in
December.
The
American tennis player and his wife, Laura Sock, cleared up any doubts through
social media regarding the birth of their next baby. Laura and Jack Sock shared
a joint post in which she cuts a cake with pictures of their baby on her belly.
The cake
reads "Coming Dec. 2023," and there are four photos along with a
small pair of socks for the baby. The former world No. 8, who is 30 years old,
commented on the photo saying that he is going to be a "boy dad."
Within the
reactions to the post, John Isner and Costeen Hatzi, Kyrgios' girlfriend, also
commented. The Sock family had already announced the upcoming birth of their
child a month ago, expected to be at the end of the year.
"Adding
a Little Sock to the family. December 2023"
Sock and
Kyrgios will team up at the US Open.
Jack Sock
has not had a good year on the ATP tour. This year, he has accumulated 6 losses
and 2 victories, against Ilia Ivashka at the Dallas Open and against Gregoire
Barrere at Indian Wells. Currently ranked world No. 419, Sock has not competed
since the Sarasota Challenger in April of this year, as injuries kept him off
the court.
However, he
might make his return at the 2023 US Open, at least to play doubles, as he has
committed to teaming up with
Nick Kyrgios in the doubles event of the last
Grand Slam of the year.
“Nick Kyrgios
wanna run some doubles at the US Open?,” Jack Sock wrote on Twitter.
“Yeaah……. Let’s
give them a show,” Kyrgios respond
Nick
Kyrgios and Jack Sock already teamed up successfully at the ATP 500 Washington
Open, where they claimed the title after a great tournament. In the first
round, they defeated the third seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Jean Julien Roger.
Then, they went on to beat the French duo of Roger-Vasselin and Mahut, setting
up a semifinal clash against Frances Tiafoe and Alex de Minaur.
In the
final of the tournament, they secured victory over the fourth seeds Austin
Krajicek and Ivan Dodig, who had won the 2022 French Open just two months
earlier. Kyrgios and Sock's impressive performance in Washington bodes well for
their partnership at the upcoming 2023 US Open.
