While the Australian Open is ongoing mostly during the night in the UK, Andy Murray is spending his time differently at 5:30am instead of watching Novak Djokovic with the former World No.1 sharing a selfie in a wizard's hat which he explained came from playing Harry Potter with his daughters on Sunday morning.
Over the years, Murray has been kept humble by his eldest daughters Sophia and Olivia with the jokes at the expense of the three-time Grand Slam champion being shared on Instagram and his latest one saw him awakened early morning to become 'Dumbledad' in a slightly ironic post as he said it was the best advantage while also looking fed up at the same time.
"One of the huge advantages to losing in the first round of the Australian Open is getting to play Harry Potter dress up at 5:30am on a Sunday with my daughters. Dumbledad," he wrote. But he has been on social media showing he has been watching the tournament.
In particular, he backed Mirra Andreeva and her mental strength after it was doubted by a commentator. She said she would put the tweet in a frame and carry it in a frame with her. “Maybe the reason she turned the match round is because of her mental strength,” he wrote on X. “Maybe she turned the match around because she is hard on herself and demands more of herself when she’s losing/playing badly? Winner.”
He also slated his friend, Liam Broady jokingly on having the same footwork speed as 20 years ago. "Footwork speed is the wrong phrase. To move like that at 12 years old is incredible footwork speed. But perhaps if you had better footwork composure you wouldn’t have had the problems with your feet in the first place?"
