Gilles Simon defends Nadal and Djokovic over fake injury claims as baseless: "They have such a margin on the guys behind that"

Gilles Simon has come out in defence of both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic after both dealt with injuries but still managed to win grand slam events.

Djokovic's injury at this year's Australian Open has been talked about more than his tennis. It became even worse when it was described as a tear in his leg, a tear that would see many struggles to play let alone play well. Djokovic smashed everyone en route to the final which caused a lot of controversies because many questioned. Even some of his opponents questioned the injury.

Simon completely dismissed that pointing out how Nadal won Roland Garros with his foot injury. According to Simon, both are able to emerge victorious because they have a huge margin on the other players:

“When it's Novak or Rafa, we think they're kidding us because they win the Grand Slam. But winning the Grand Slam is their level. They have such a margin on the guys behind that, not even fully, they win. They are stronger."
