For a second consecutive year, six of the best ATP tennis players in the world will traverse to the Middle East to compete in the luxurious Six Kings Slam, which is set to be held from 15th-18th October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Separate from the main tour, the Six Kings Slam is an exhibition held in the midst of the Riyadh Season of events, with no ranking points to benefit from. First commencing in 2024, six stars in the tennis world will battle in many high-stakes matchups with the winner earning around $6 million.
Its maiden event saw the former world number one Jannik Sinner prevail in a three-set scrap against his arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz. It was also the penultimate event Rafael Nadal competed before retiring from the sport, as he lost to Alcaraz in the semi-finals before coming unstuck against Novak Djokovic in the third-place match.
As labelled in its name, six players will compete in the event, with two automatically heading through to the semi-finals. Similar to last year, Alcaraz and Djokovic will be awaiting whoever wins their quarter-final clash. These two and Sinner are the only competitors to have competed last year, with Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas all making their debut. Originally Jack Draper was supposed to be featuring but was forced to pull out due to an arm injury, opening the door for the Greek number one to participate.

Another Sinner-Alcaraz final in prospect?

The pair have dominated the tennis scene for the past two years, sweeping up almost every tournament they feature in between them. Their last seven matchups have all come in finals of big events, with their semi-final showdown at Roland Garros in 2024 the last time this trend did not occur.
Djokovic looks to be the best of the rest but still is not able to compete with them most of the time, last beating one of them in the Australian Open earlier this year. He will be hoping to put aside the disappointing exit in the Shanghai Masters semi-final to eventual surprise winner Valentin Vacherot to cash in on the big prize pot on offer.
The 38-year-old could face the Italian in the semi-final, but that depends on if Sinner can find a way past Tsitsipas. The two-time Grand Slam finalist has struggled in recent times, but will be hoping that Riyadh can be the location where he can cause a seismic upset and begin an upward trajectory in the rankings. The first semi-final sees the world number three and four take to the court. Their previous matchups make ominous reading for Zverev, who has failed to beat the American in their prior six meetings.
Fans will be able to see the best ATP players in the world fight it out on Netflix, with three days of intense and high quality tennis set to be played in the Saudi Arabian capital. It will begin 4pm in the UK, 8am PDT and 11am EDT in USA, and 1am the next day in Australia.
UPDATE: The broadcast of the final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz on Netflix will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Europe.
