Tennis fans expressed their desire to see the former world
number one Switzerland’s Roger Federer coach several young and experienced
players in the circuit.
The 41-year-old is currently spending his free time after
announcing retirement last year in an emotional message.
A page on the social media platform Twitter with the name Relevant Tennis posted a hypothetical question that who would fans want to see
Federer coach if there is an opportunity to come.
In response to that, there were a lot of mixed answers as
fans suggested that they would love to see the former legendary tennis player
coach the likes of current world number one Carlos Alcaraz, a three-time
runner-up in a Grand Slam Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur and young Britain’s tennis star Emma
Raducanu.
Federer remains one of the most successful players in the
history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era, having won as many as 20 Grand
Slam titles.
He was the first player even in the men’s singles category
to win more than 15 Grand Slam titles and was also the first to reach the 20
titles mark.
During his last years at the highest level, the Basel-born
struggled with a number of injuries and it made it hard to continue competing
with the best and upcoming players.
