Andrey Rublev will return for a semi-final tonight at the Paris Masters, but slightly disadvantaged when he faces Novak Djokovic.
Rublev finished past 1am local time seeing off Alex de Minaur to reach the semi-finals where he will take on the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
He became the latest to slate the organisation of the tournament which has garnered headlines across the week especially in the case of Jannik Sinner who withdrew after defeating Mackenzie McDonald due to 'fatigue'. But in reality, he was scheduled 14 hours after the fact to play again.
Rublev roasted the tournament and said that it will now be around 5am that he sleeps due to the 'crazy' schedule and the matters that he has to attend to after his win in recovery.
“I need to have dinner, treatment, take a shower, I don’t know when I’ll go to sleep. 4? 5? Crazy. Amazing schedule. Thank you. And I’m council of ATP. And ATP, we are together," said Rublev.
