After withdrawing from the latter stages of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell due to illness,
Jannik Sinner seemingly has not recovered and is out of next week's
Madrid Open.
Sinner has withdrawn and joins in particular Novak Djokovic yesterday and Rafael Nadal last week in not being involved in the Roland Garros ATP 1000 Masters warm-up.
Now his next tournament will be a return home to Rome before heading to Paris but on recent form, it is a blow for the tournament.
"I'm sad to withdraw from today's match in Barcelona," said Sinner in withdrawing from Barcelona earlier this week.
"I have been feeling unwell for a few days now. Today the sickness got worse, and I'm not able to play. I will take some time to rest and recover. Thanks for all your support, and good luck to Lorenzo for the rest of the event."
