Nick Kyrgios and Jack Sock teamed up to pair doubles at the Atlanta Open and they started off their campaign with a strong victory.
Kyrgios is back to travelling on the tour after taking a long hiatus after the Australian Open. The shift to the hard courts might have something to do with it but Kyrgios is all healed up from his injury and playing well once more. The Australian paired up with Sock for the doubles event and they bested Qureshi and Sharan 6-1 6-3.
The match lasted only 50 minutes and the Aussie-American combination was eager to make it a quick one as rain delay forced the match to start a little after midnight. Kyrgios is set to play today so the Aussie was lucky to escape with a fairly quick one. After the match he said:
"I have such great memories here and I love playing here. Obviously [Jack is] one of my best mates, not just on the tennis court, but in my life. I hadn't seen him in forever... It's just good to be back out here, to be honest, and we're having so much fun, so it's good."
