Rafael Nadal was once again forced to shut down retirement talks after he suffered somewhat of a surprising defeat to Cameron Norrie at the
United Cup.
It wasn't the best Nadal can play tennis and raised a few eyebrows among his fans but it was the first match in this new campaign and it's not a big deal. As always, the Spaniard was asked about his retirement and he had to shut down talks of it, once again. Speaking about it, Nadal asked the media to stop asking:
"So you are very, very interested on my retirement (smiling). I mean, that's, for the moment, is not the case. When this day arrives, I'm going to let you know, guys. Don't keep going with the retirement because I'm here to keep playing tennis."
He further stated that he knows then the right time will be and he'll have no problem in just walking away from the sport:
"No. I mean, when arrive the day that is go out on court and say, That's getting hard, is the day to say goodbye. I don't want to and I don't need to keep playing for no one reason."
