Nadal starts new record while being ranked inside top 15

Despite losing his iconic top 10 ranking streak, Rafael Nadal still holds another incredible record which has never been done before him either.

Nadla spent 18 years in the top 10 pretty much from entering it a long time ago to recently when he finally dropped out. It came after he was unable to defend all the points he gathered at the start of last year with the hip injury being the culprit. Even so, he still holds another record which has never been done since the start of the rankings in 1973.

No player has ever spent 18 years consecutively ranked inside the top 15 which Nadal still holds. He is currently number 14 having 55 points more than Hubret Hurkacz. It seems likely that he will lose this record too because he doesn't seem likely to play any event soon. Barcelona Open this week is going on without him and there won't be a return in Madrid either.

The record is still quite impressive considering that nobody has ever done it.
