Taylor Fritz joked about his loss in the US Open final against Jannik Sinner and shared how much he learned from his first Grand Slam final defeat. The world No. 5 returns to the ATP Finals for the second time after reaching the semifinals in 2022.

The American No. 1 finished the best season of his career with 49 wins and two titles, along with his runner-up finish at Flushing Meadows, securing his current top-5 position.

Fritz expressed his excitement to perform well in the last tournament of the season. "It's great to be back in Turin two years after my debut. Competing at the ATP Finals is always one of the most important goals of the season."

Fritz praised Sinner for securing the year-end world No. 1 ranking and reflected on their recent matchup. "Jannik is the world's best player and deserves to stand above everyone else,” he said. “It was an honor to compete against him in a Major final. He demonstrated his skills against me in the US Open title clash. I learned a lot from that match, literally too much. I'm now more aware of how I must improve my game to challenge players like him,” Fritz added.

The world No. 5 will debut this Sunday against Daniil Medvedev, a key match in his hopes of advancing to the second round. Both are part of the Ilie Năstase Group along with Jannik Sinner and Australian Alex De Minaur. The top two players from each group will move on to the semifinals.
