Nadal will drop to 4th in the rankings. Tsitsipas up to a career high #3
Stefanos Tsitsipas will be ranked as number 3 on Monday after Rafael Nadal lost earlier than expected at the Citi Open in Washington.
Rafael Nadal did not do as well as he had hoped at the Citi Open in Washington losing to Lloyd Harris in the quarterfinal of the event. That will have grave consequences for Nadal who is set to lose 455 ranking points making his total number of points on Monday 7815.
Meanwhile, Stefanos Tsitsipas who is ranked one spot below him on this week's rankings is set to gain 115 points bringing his total number of points to 8115 which is higher than that of Nadal. That will send the Greek to number 3 on the rankings which will be the highest he has ever ranked.
Nadal will meanwhile slip to number 4 and that will be the first time since 2017 that Nadal will be ranked outside of the top 3.
